Field Service Leader

Teresa Tweten, FLMI, PCS, AIAA, AIRC


Teresa Tweten joined New York Life in May of 1988 as a Service Professional in Cedar Rapids, IA.  She continued learning and growing her knowledge throughout the years and was eventually promoted to the Office Coordinator of the Cedar Rapids General Office. 

In 2004 she was promoted and transferred as the Field Service Leader of the North Dakota General Office in Fargo, ND.  Teresa and her team have won many company awards such as “Best in Class”, Profitability and Business Management.  Teresa’s goals include providing the best customer service, support and direction to the Agents of the North Dakota General Office. 

In her personal time, Teresa enjoys spending time with her family, in lakes country.  Teresa and Tom have been married since 2005 and together have seven children and four grandchildren all of which are still living in the Fargo / Moorhead area. 





















Director of Development

My began his New York Life career with the North Dakota General Office in 2007 as an agent.  Prior to his career at New York Life,  My worked in the newspaper industry for 23 years with The Forum (Fargo, ND) and Star Tribune (Minneapolis, MN) in various positions within the Circulation Departments.  His most recent position was State Circulation Manager with the Star Tribune.  As an agent, My qualified for three consecutive Councils and was New Organization Agent of the Year in 2008 and 2009,  along with several monthly production awards.

In October 2021, My was promoted from Development Manager to the Director of Development in the North Dakota General Office.  His responsibility is to manage and coordinate professional development of the entire General Office.

My and Mischelle have been married since 1996 and have two sons, Erek and Jerrad.  Erek is their oldest and lives in San Diego, CA. with his wife Anna.  Jerrad resides in South Glastonbury, CT.

























Joseph Wald, CLTC


After graduating high school in Dickinson North Dakota, Joseph moved to Alaska and attended the University of Alaska Anchorage. During the summer months he worked as a professional fishing guide and obtained a Captain’s License issued through the United States Coast Guard. He graduated from UAA in 2007 with dual bachelor’s degrees in Business Management and Marketing.

Joseph began his career with New York Life in the Alaska General Office in May 2010. In 2011 he earned the New Organization Agent of the Year Award. Joseph and his wife Erica moved back to North Dakota in 2012 and in 2013 Joseph earned the North Dakota General Office New Organization Agent of the Year Award. He maintains a “Certified in Long Term Care” (CLTC) designation issued by the CLTC Board of Standards Inc., became a member of the Million Dollar Round Table* in 2017 and won the North Dakota General Office Long Term Care Producer of The Year Award in 2018. Joseph qualified for New York Life’s Council nine consecutive years, every year in agency.

After being offered the Partner position by multiple Managing Partners, Joseph accepted the position and officially became a Partner with the New York Life North Dakota General Office in September 2019. He is now focused on helping others start engaging careers in agency with New York Life and dedicating his time to their professional development. Joseph resides in Dickinson with his wife Erica and two sons.

























Chris Filibeck


Chris started his New York Life career in 2009 as an agent in Bismarck, ND.  He had a fast start to his career winning the Career Life Success Award along with Rookie of the year in his first year.  Since his start, Chris has been the 2011 and 2012 New Org Life Case Leader, 2012 New Org Long Term Care Leader, three Life Summits, nine consecutive Life Allstars, and nine consecutive Executive Councils.

In June 2019, Chris was promoted to Partner with New York Life.  He is now responsible for hiring, training and leading a team of Agents across the state of North Dakota. Chris is looking forward to growing the office, inspiring the Agents he works with, and making an impact in the community.

Prior to his New York Life career, Chris was an Advertising Consultant for the Bismarck Tribune for six Years, Graduate of Bismarck State College and the University of Mary. Chris is a farm and ranch raised North Dakotan from Glen Ullin, ND and now resides in Mandan, ND.
